Marni Project

My final shoe and shoe box.

Not only did Marni inspire me to create my own print which I printed on the box and on the leather but I also took Aboriginal imagery and African prints as a concept. This influenced the colour and fabric choices.

I even used a laser cutter for the shapes on the box.

Got inspiration for my next project from the H&M window display in London where Marni clothing was being premièred. All the clothes were hanging and there was film playing in the background. I will base my research on Marni and trends for S/S 2013 on WGSN.

I designed this graphic based on drawings from Gothic Architecture.

I used this on a laser cut machine to cut fabric for an outfit.

Rock/Deconstructionism drawing work for my college project. 

I took inspiration from Rock legends as well as designers like Martin Margiela, Comme de Garcons, and Junya Watanabe. Also architecture linked well with my deconstruction theme. This research inspired me to create jackets.
